Reveal the answer
Answer: Sperm whale
Sperm whales produce clicks that can reach about 230 decibels underwater, making them the loudest animal on the planet. They use these clicks for echolocation to hunt squid in the deep ocean, and they can be heard for many kilometres. For comparison, a lion's roar is around 114 decibels, and a jet engine at close range is about 150.
