The Dominican Republic's flag has a coat of arms in the center, and in the middle of it is an open Bible. The Bible is opened to John 8:32, "And the truth shall make you free." It's the only national flag in the world to feature one. The flag also carries the national motto: "Dios, Patria, Libertad" (God, Homeland, Liberty).
