Most people guess Indonesia (about 17,000 islands) or the Philippines (about 7,600), but Sweden has around 267,000. The vast majority are tiny, uninhabited rocky islets scattered along its coastline and in its lakes, and fewer than 1,000 have people living on them. Neighbouring Norway and Finland also rank near the top for the same reason.
